OST Math Equity Lab: Sharing and celebrating our growth, our practices, & the questions that remain
LIMITED
Wednesday May 20, 2026 10:00am - 12:30pm EDT
Limited Capacity seats available
As part of the Cambridge “Math is a Civil Right Movement,” the Cambridge STEAM Initiative is offering a new Out-of-School-Time Math Equity Lab for the 2025-26 school year. The Lab is a space for members of the OST community to investigate, imagine, co-create, and expand new possibilities for equitable, high-quality OST math programming. Sessions will focus on equity-based youth work practices that support young people to develop belonging, positive math identities, and mathematical agency. Over six sessions, the Lab will use both a Community of Practice model (where participants share and reflect on their experiences and practices) and a workshop model (where participants engage with new tools and practices). All sessions will be on Wednesdays from 10am-noon, and are open to ALL members of the OST community (from youth workers through executive directors!). Please click here for more details. And if you have questions, please reach out to Matt Dunkel (the facilitator) at [email protected]. We hope to see you there!
