- about Kristen Handricken is an organizational development consultant who believes in the power of individuals and communities to create the transformational change we seek in the world. With a career that began in Cambridge and spans multiple sectors, Kristen has three decades of experience assisting public and human-serving organizations in doing just that – developing people, policies and practices that advance equity and justice. Kristen brings a wealth of experience supporting staff of youth development and family serving agencies. As an educator and trainer, she has led small and large-scale organizational learning and capacity-building initiatives for such organizations as the Boston Public Health Commission, Boston University, as well as school districts across the nation. As Founder and Principal of Institute Equity, LLC, Kristen blends systems thinking, trauma-informed practice, and transformative leadership to guide organizations through complex transitions—helping teams turn individual insight into collective action and align impact with intention. Expert in group facilitation and restorative practices, Kristen creates spaces where honest dialogue, critical reflection, and collective learning become the catalyst for individual and organizational transformation. Above all, Kristen believes deeply in the capacity of individuals to lead transformational change, when powered with the clarity, courage, and tools to do so.
